Oct 13th - Nov 13th
Reception: Oct 14th 7-9pm

When I paint, I start without specific intentions and eventually arrive at a conclusion that pleases me. Most of my recent work happens as a result of playful exploration that eventually takes shape and reaches a visually satisfying conclusion. The underlying theme in much of my recent work pertains to my fellow human beings, our contentious relationships with one another, and with the increasingly fragile environment we presently occupy.
On a lighter note, the other thing that keeps repeating in my work is when blind exploration leads to whimsical imagery based on aesthetic decisions alone.
